Adam Hewison of INO.com has released a very helpful trading video on the trendline approach on the traders whiteboard.

By using a simple whiteboard, Adam shows how to figure out exciting trading formations, whether you trade futures, stocks or precious metals.

You can make money using a straight line, according to Adam, as these market moves and trendlines are a reflection of human nature.

One of many examples he shows in this video is to take an uptrend with its peaks and troughs, and draw a straight line through it, connecting all the local lows in the long uptrend.

The trendline is then your reference point, and this gives you clues as to what is likely to happen next.

It is amazingly simple to understand when you watch it in real time.

You will know when is likely to be the best time to get out of the market, when you are near a top or bottom.
